Ascot Residential Homes provides care of the elderly at St. Davids Nursing Home and St. Christophers Residential Home in Ascot.  Both Homes are set within the stunning grounds of Ascot Priory, around a mile from Ascot Race Course.

 

The homes have been run by the same family for over twenty five years, and pride themselves on providing a very high standard of care in a homely environment.

 

Philosophy

Our aims are to provide the highest standards of care based on the individual needs of the resident, and to create a homely atmosphere where family, friends and pets are always welcome.  Residents are encouraged to remain independent but safe in the knowledge that help is always close at hand.

 

Activities

We encourage residents to follow individual hobbies and place strong emphasis on remaining active both mentally and physically.

 

Activities are organised both within the home and further afield.  Outings are regularly arranged to places of local interest, including Ascot Racecourse, Savill Gardens, as well as shopping trips to Windsor.  Religious services are held every week in each home.

 

Services

Our experienced catering staff provide balanced menus and can cater for residents special needs. Residents may choose to have their meals in the dining room or in their own rooms, and to entertain relatives and friends when they choose. Personal clothing is laundered on the premesis.  Visiting services of a hairdresser, optician, chiropodist, physiotherapist, aromatherapist, dentist, and doctor are regularly available in the home. The mobile library visits with a varied selection of large print and speaking books for loan.

 

Facilities

All rooms are fully furnished, with access to television,  nurse call system, and telephone if desired. Many have ensuite facilities. We welcome residents to bring personal items (including furniture) into their rooms, to create familiar surroundings.  Accommodation is arranged on ground and first floor, with passenger lifts between floors.

 

Staffing

Our dedicated caring staff are available at all hours to ensure that residents are comfortable and their needs are quickly met. A nurse call system is installed in each bedroom, and public areas, enabling residents to summon assistance at any time.
